PETALING JAYA: Malaysians are happy to see the law taking its course with the arrest of Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) on Wednesday (Oct 3).

Facebook user Demi Negara hoped for justice to prevail.

“You reap what you sow,” the user said.

Meanwhile, Tan Kok Tim said he was looking forward to what Rosmah’s defence in court will be, while David KL Quek said that this had been a long time coming and hoped that justice would be fair to all.

Kamil Karim, who responded to another Facebook user, urged others to let the court proceedings determine if Rosmah and former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak were guilty or otherwise.

“The court will determine if they did what they are accused of. Every week there is news about them that will not help the economy and improve our daily life.

“The economy is not recovering and prices are high but the government seems to be taking their time with Najib and Rosmah while the rakyat is entertained by this repetitive drama,” he said.

Maa Khalid expressed her disappointment at many Facebook users, hoping for Rosmah to wear the MACC orange jumpsuit on Thursday (Oct 4) where she will be charged with money laundering.

“There are too many who are praying and wanting Rosmah to don that orange suit and also hoping for her to go to jail. My dear friends, try to pray for good things.

“However much we hate, do not curse or insult. Let the authorities do their work,” she said.

Rosmah was arrested at 3.20pm Wednesday (Oct 3) while giving her statement at the MACC headquarters.

She will be facing several charges under the Anti-Money Laundering, Anti-Terrorism Financing and Proceeds of Unlawful Activities Act 2001.

In a statement, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) confirmed her arrest and said that the wife of former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will be taken to the Kuala Lumpur Sessions Court at 8am Thursday (Oct 4).
