PUTRAJAYA: Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said he is not affected by criticisms or insults, saying this is the “price” one has to pay for being in politics.
“A politician must accept being criticised, being called names. I have been called all kinds of names.
“I have never taken any action, even when I was prime minister before this,” he said when asked to comment on the police’s action against Azman Noor Adam for spreading images that allegedly insulted Dr Mahathir on social media.
Azman Nor Adam is the brother of Umno supreme council member Datuk Lokman Noor Adam.
On the arrest, Dr Mahathir said this should not have happened.
“I don’t mind being insulted by anybody, it’s not going to affect me,” he said.
