MIRI: Sarawak PKR chairman Baru Bian, who is also Lawas branch chairman, claims that outsiders have tried to sabotage the party polls there.
He alleged that early today (Nov 10), the branch was told by the district office that they are not allowed to use the civic centre for party polling.
However, the matter was later resolved and the branch polls went ahead.
Meanwhile, unofficial results in the Miri PKR branch polls shows that the PKR grassroots here are split in who they want as the party deputy president.
As at 5pm, it is said that Rafizi Ramli is the majority members’ choice for party deputy president.
However, the vote difference between Rafizi and incumbent deputy president Azmin Ali is too close to call.
Insider sources said that in Miri, the vote count shows Rafizi is leading Azmin by only two votes for the number two post.
The official results have not been announced yet.
